Perfecting Pinterest Course Review
Table of Contents
What To Expect From Perfecting Pinterest
Perfecting Pinterest is full of educational content that will help you grow your Pinterest account fast!
Let’s get started with the first section of the course which goes over important things to know about Pinterest.
MindsetÂ
This section is super informative because Sophia is basically telling you about the fluctuation of Pinterest analytics and why you should never get discouraged on your pinning journey.Â
   Â
It’s important to note that Sophia started Perfecting Pinterest with the intent of encouraging you to make a brand.
Having a dedicated mindset is the only way to succeed on Pinterest because you won’t see massive results when you start.Â
Perfecting Pinterest Course Review: Keyword Research
Sophia exclaims how important keyword research is throughout the course.
Targeting the correct keywords for your niche is essential for gaining more Pinterest views.Â
In Perfecting Pinterest, you’ll learn how to utilize Pinterest and google to see what people are searching for to help your content rank.Â
What I especially love about the keyword research section is that Sophia shows you how your blog posts should include main and related keywords.
She even goes in-depth about why you should include keywords within your image data!
Sophia touches on google keyword research in this course but goes more in-depth about that method in Perfecting Blogging.
You can read my review of Perfecting Blogging here.Â
Getting A Business Account
The BySophiaLee Pinterest strategy involves converting your personal account to a business.
Getting a business account on Pinterest can be a roadblock for some new users so it’s great that Sophia included this in the Perfecting Pinterest course.
She also goes over:
- How to claim your blog for Pinterest
- How to properly set up a Pinterest account
- SEO StrategiesÂ
- Key Details To Look Out For(Studying Competition)Â
How To Create Pinterest Boards
Pinterest boards are one of the primary ways users find your content.
In Perfecting Pinterest, Sophia shows you how to create Pinterest boards, optimize them for discovery, and what pins you should place within them.Â
I found this section useful because the concept of ‘boards’ is a very unique way of content discovery compared to other social media platforms.
Boards are kind of like visual playlists you post to on Pinterest.Â
Sophia shows you how she posts pins to boards using tailwind.Â
Tailwind is an extension that makes posting to Pinterest easy and organized.
Without Perfecting Pinterest I would probably be posting pins manually, dreading every moment of it.Â
Key Posting Strategy
Besides using Tailwind’s website, Sophia shows you a unique way of posting pins that has allowed her to make publishing content more efficient.Â
This part of the course is key because Sophia shows you a way to schedule content directly from Pinterest using the Tailwind chrome extension.
Even though you can always post pins using the new Pinterest Scheduler, it always helps to have options!Â
How To Design Pins For Pinterest
A huge obstacle for people starting out on Pinterest is designing pins.
Not only do you have to understand marketing to create viral pins, but knowing the right dimensions to frame your work in matters.Â
In Perfecting Pinterest, you’ll learn how to design various styles of pins that increase your CTR(click-through rate).Â
This section covers:
- How to use colors to get more clicks to your blogÂ
- What you should have in mind when creating pins
- How you should title pinsÂ
- How you should write captions for pinsÂ
- How many pins to create for each blog post
- What you should avoid when designing your pins
- How to use Canva to create pins
This is one of the most important sections of the course because it shows you how to create a pin that ranks in Pinterest search from start to finish.
Unless you have graphic design experience, you probably have no clue how to create an ‘aesthetic’ pin for Pinterest, so this is a section you should pay close attention to.Â
How To Make Blog Posts Go Viral
In addition to pin design, you’ll also learn how to make new blog posts go viral.
You’ll also learn how to revive old blog posts and get them the attention they deserve!Â
Up-To-Date Info
When you buy Perfecting Pinterest, you get lifetime access to educational videos that Sophia adds updates to.Â
She stresses in the course that the Pinterest algorithm is constantly changing, so it’s awesome that she posts new videos to let you know how to deal with it!Â
My Results After Taking The Course
After graduating from Perfecting Pinterest, I was able to have a few pins gain traction in the algorithm!Â
Take a look at some of my Pinterest stats. I’ve been getting a few follows and saved pins per week consistently!
Conclusion
If I were to balance out the good with the bad, I’d say the only issue I have with Perfecting Pinterest is that she makes petty mistakes when instructing(that can just be edited out).Â
For example, in the section when Sophia shows you how to schedule pins in Tailwind, she forgets to click an important button while publishing content.
She actually turned the mistake into a valuable learning opportunity so it was informative nonetheless!
If you’re interested in growing a Pinterest account that drives an abundance of traffic to your blog, Perfecting Pinterest is the perfect course for you!Â
