Learning how to fix broken heels can be a huge money saver for you long-term.
I remember buying one of my first pair of heels…only to have a tip break off in the Walmart parking lot.
The rugged gravel was enough to pull off the heel tip with ease.
Because of my defiance, I continued to walk in the 8inch stilettos while completely unbalanced(left shoe was higher than the right).
Did I look uncomfortable? No because I’m HeHeels and I played it off well…but the act could only last so long.
I did everything I could to perform emergency stiletto surgery to revive my new open-toe pumps.
Even going as far as to hot glue the tip back on the heel, but it just popped back off.
There was NO WAY that I was just going to throw the shoes away and getting a refund would be too much hassle(shipping times ugh).
So in true HeHeels fashion I walked back out in the shoes again…this time the heel COMPLETELY broke off!
The most tragic part is that it politely said goodbye and forced me to go barefoot.
Although broken heels are never fun, here are some ways that you can repair and prevent your heels from ending up like mine.

How To Fix Broken Heels
Table of Contents
1. Get Heels Caps
I rave about these all the time because they can make a big difference in your heel’s wellness.
If I had a heel cap replacement, I could have just slid the new tip on and kept walking.
This wouldn’t have made a difference in the overall cheap design of the heel itself, but I would’ve gotten some longer wear out of it(and reduced stress).
The above tips are for easy slip-ons, but there are other tips that appear more natural. They’ll just require a bit more effort to put on.Â
2. Glue The Heel Back On
Gluing on the broken heel can be a solution if you use the right tools.
It also depends on the severity of the damage.Â
Some heels, like the pair in my story, are irreparable… but it’s a solution that’s worth trying.
Here are some products that can help you fix your broken high heel…
Shoe Glue
Helps seal fabrics and repair minor damage(like a bent tip).
Under Sole Padding
Great for preventing slips, these pads are optimal for when the material under your sole is too smooth or begins to peel!
3. Re-Seal The Deal
If you’re heel breaks off and has visible nails showing, getting professional help is your best option.Â
When my high heel broke, the nails sticking out of the sole looked like the detention door from the movie Matilda.Â
Cobblers Direct is a reputable online shoe repair resource that can even give you a heel consultation if you aren’t sure what help you need yet.Â
